I am looking for a fluorochrome that is an alternative for MBrB of MClB. I
want to label thiols in living cells with a fluorochrome that has to be
excited with visible light (preferably 488nm) and becomes fluorescent after
reacting with the free SH groups.

Other labels (CMFDA/CMEDA) are already fluorescent after reacting with cell
esterases and only "stick" to SH then.

Who can help? Ever heard of OPT in this respect? Thank you for all good
advice.
