Opening for a Research Assistant in the Microscopy and Image Analysis
Laboratory at the National Cancer Institute - Frederick
The Microscopy and Image Analysis Laboratory at the National Cancer
Institute - Frederick has an immediate opening for a full-time research
assistant in the multi-user Confocal Microscopy Laboratory to assist in the
operations of confocal microscopes and image analysis programs (50%), and
to participate in the development of quantitative image analysis software
(50%). The latter may include programming graphical user interfaces and
algorithms for image segmentation, quantitative measurements and
mathematical modeling.
Educational requirement: Possession of a Bachelor degree from an accredited
college/university in a field related to Physical or Computational Science
or 4 years related experience in lieu of a degree. Required skills: Three
years of relevant experience in the areas of optical microscopy, computer
programming and/or image analysis. For further information, please
