Ditto.  Wiring dimmer switches into lamp cords is now illegal here, dimmers
have to be hardwired into the wall or into the base of the lamp.  There are
very few lamps like this from lighting shops (I found one model in our
largest local shop) - anyone know of a good source?  We just moved our
fluorescence microscopes into an old darkroom and I've been trying to
source lamps with dimmer switches.
