Sara,

There are two well-known week long courses in the northeast in the spring each year, AQLM and QFM. Analytical and Quantitative Light Microscopy is held at Woods Hole Marine Biological Laboratory May 6 - 15, 2009, and Quantitative Fluorescence Microscopy is held at Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory in Bar Harbor, Maine May 30 - June 5th, 2009 . Much is known about both of these solid courses as they have been around for a while. Feel free to contact me off list if you are curious about them both.

Dear listers,

I am currently working at a biological lab and very interested in learning microscopy techniques (from hardware to analysis), I am wondering is there any good microscopy course in Boston area that I can attend?
I've attended a few free courses at Nikon Imaging Center of Harvard Medical School given by Dr. Jennifer Waters. Those were really good and I learned a lot from there. However I am looking for more intensive and detailed courses now. Since my department offers tuition reimbursement programs for employees, I would like to find more microscopy course for the very beginner of part-time graduate program.

Any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Sara
