We have been quite happy with our Meridian Insight which performs video
rate confocal microscopy and can buffer the images at the same rate with
only the limitation of RAM.  You can also buffer to the harddrive if
needed.  I think they have changed company names so you might want to try
contacting Genomic Solutions (517) 349-7617

I have had quite a bit of difficulty obtaining information on the Zeiss
CARV system myself.
