Amazing ! I was just looking at a paper where an optical "chamber"
and microfluorometry was used to measure mitochondrial calcium when
Mikael's mail came in. I am also looking for alternatives so please
post all possibilities.

Reference:
Regulation of cardiac mitochondrial calcium by average extramitchondrial
calcium. Leisey et al. Am J Physiol 265:H1203-1208, 1993.

Square glass capillaries, 0.9 x 0.9mm internally and with 0.18mm wall
thickness. Apparently suitable for measuring Fura signals with a
Nikon Fluor 40x obj. lens.

Available from Wilmad Glass Co, Rte 40 & Oak Rd, Buena,
NJ, NJ 08310,USA. Tel (609) 697-3000; Fax (609) 697-0536.....I got
the address and tel from an old directory, so they may not all be
correct - please check !
