Hi all...

I am curious to know how important it is to collect a confocal
dataset so that the voxel measurements are 1:1:1. My impression is that
the main reason for doing this is somewhat historical at this point, i.e.
older 3-D reconstruction packages assumed isometric voxels. The rendering
programs that I'm using (Voxblast and Imaris) allow the voxel dimensions
to be defined. Are there other reasons why a dataset should be collected
so that the voxel definition is 1:1:1?

Many thanks in advance (and for all past help),

Angela
