Zeiss and Ethernet

Can anyone tell me what setting they use on an SMC ethernet card
installed on a Zeiss LSM 410.  I have tried to use the following settings:
 
Interupt 10
I/O base address 300
RAM base address cc00
There is no ROM installed.
 
Config.sys contains the following line
 
DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE x=cc00-cfff
 
        adding NOEMS to the above line has no effect.
 
Error message: no ram available (for SMC card)
 
Any help would be appreciated
