Dear confocal listserv,

Reading the In retrospect: Sylva, "Gabriel Hemery celebrates the 350th anniversary of John Evelyn's treatise on the science and practice of forestry."

http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v507/n7491/full/507166a.html
(open access, as far as I can tell)

reminded me that the 350th anniversary of publication of Robert Hooke's Micrographia is next year, 2015. Are there going to be any official microscopy celebrations of this anniversary?

according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micrographia M was published in September 1665.

a couple of versions online
