Dear listserv group,

I was wondering if anyone had any
recommendations for access to used (zeiss) microscopes
or their parts? I am trying to bring an old Zeiss up
to snuff for doing Drosophila injections. It is
pretty clear I am going to have to get a new stage and
make quite a few other changes. Would it be possible
to find someone who either repairs existing setups or
comes in, and builds what you want out of what you
have, plus other scavenged parts? I know this sounds
unrealistically optimistic, but I was wondering if
anyone knew of such a person and do they hire out?

                                Thanks in advance!

                                                Alice Schmid
