Neither the Leica or the Zeiss commercial systems extend into the ultraviolet, 
nor specify the longer wavelengths >700nm (these do exist but are 
filtered out).

2 mW/nm across the desired 390-2000 nm is not impossible but it would be 
challenging.  Our best effort is currently around 330nm-IR, but the average 
power per nm is around 0.5 mW (and this is not a commercial system).

I'm happy to take this discussion off-board if preferred.
