Dear Confocalists,

about a year ago there was a discussion about a saline immersible
lens with a long working distance which would allow to do patch
clamp. There was a suggestion to use the Olympus WPlanFL 40X UV 0.7
NA 160 mm tube length water (saline) immersible lens with a working
distance of 3.1 mm.
I am aware that it is not advisable to interchange from one
manufacturer to another, however, I would like to know if anyone has
tried this lens on a Nikon microscope. The reason is that the
comparable lens Nikon offers has 0.55 NA which makes it somewhat less
attraktiv for confocal microscopy.

Many thanks in advance.

Sabine
