Center Valley, PA - The  Associate and/or Product Manager will develop and
execute marketing strategies to successfully promote the FluoView (FV)
product line and assist in product development and application support for
the entire FluoView portfolio including peripheral items to customers,
Olympus dealers, and Olympus sales personnel. EOE M/F/D/V

Searching for Microscopy Core Laboratory Directors or Managers are
Preferred.

Requirements and Responsibilities: 
* Create and execute marketing strategies that include traditional marketing
techniques as well as new and innovative concepts.

* Assist sales in achieving net revenue target for FV by providing necessary
tools and participation in sales calls with representatives for support.

* Organize and conduct workshops to promote the sale of FV products. 

* Deliver technical training along with the Technical Assistance Center
(TAC) to sales and customer service representatives to expand their
understanding of the Olympus FluoView products.

* Support internal and dealer marketing functions including trade shows,
product flyers, and advertising.

* Perform new technology assessment and implementation working with Research
and Development (R&D) and outside sources to enhance the FV product line as
directed by Senior Management

* Assist in application development, white papers, and print articles
working closely with the Manager, Application Development.

* Support current install base, Technical Service, and TAC by addressing
technical inquiries via the telephone and/or email working toward an
appropriate resolution.

* Maintain open communication with key accounts, application leaders, and
other companies to acquire technical and marketing information, analyzing
and reporting appropriate results to Senior Management.

* Manage Field Marketing activities and assign tasks to FV Marketing
Assistant as needed.

* Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications: 
* A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences and/or Marketing or equivalent
knowledge and experience is required. An advanced degree in Life Science is
preferred.
 
* An advanced-level of proficiency in imaging applications is essential.

* A Minimum of 2 years of experience in the following areas are required:

     - fluorescence and optical microscopy techniques

     - operating a laser scanning confocal microscope

     - life sciences capital equipment sales / marketing

* Must be a self-starter that is assertive, possesses a high degree of
self-confidence and intellectual curiosity, learns quickly, exhibits a bias
for action, and demonstrates good professional presence.

* Must be comfortable working across functional areas such as Sales,
Marketing, Finance, Operations, etc. and with global partners.

* The ability to manage multiple projects/tasks concurrently under
aggressive timelines in a dynamic environment is essential.

* An advanced-level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
is required.

* The following physical demands are required:
     - Stand/Sit/Walk 8 hours a day
     - Vision requirments correctable to 20/20 vision
     - 25% Domestic Travel
* The following work enviroment condition exists:
     - Laser
