Hi Sergey,

in case you did not know, there is also the pco.edge 4.2 using the same image sensor, made by BAE Fairchild and not by Sony. Scientific CMOS image sensors were originally developed by Fairchild, Andor and PCO as a combined effort. The result was the CIS2521 image sensor, which is in the Andor Neo, Zyla 5.5, pco.edge 5.5 and pco.edge gold 5.5. A bit later a only rolling shutter version with better QE was released as a collaboration between Fairchild and Hamamatsu, the CIS2020 was created. All of these image sensors are available.

with best regards,

Gerhard Holst

Hello everyone,

I'd like to purchase Andor Zyla 4.2 or Hamamatsu ORCA-Flash4.0 V2, both
using camera link interface and sharing same Sony chip. The seem to be pretty
good for brightfield and good for WF fluorescence and TIRF. Could you please
tell me your local prices for them, via mailing list or e-mail? Russian prices
seem to be awful, I'd like to know if they want either me to overpay, or to just
to rob me.

Thanks in advance,
Sergey
