We have the same system but with NT 3.5. We investigated different
printers but there was always a problem of getting drivers that would
work under NT. Apparently some printer manufacturers offer NT drivers
from their web sites but don't supply them actually with the printer
when you buy it. Win 95 drivers probably do not work under NT 3.5 but
might be more compatible with NT 4.0. To avoid this problem we move
images onto our Win95 PC network and print from there. We have laser
printers and a colour inkjet for draft printouts but use an external
agency for dye sub (publication quality) prints or 35mm slides. Hope
     this helps.

I would be interested to know how TCS behaves under NT 4.0. Is it
stable, can it multitask, is it fast to load (TCS in NT 3.5 takes 3-4
minutes). We might consider upgrading if others find it an
     improvement.

Subject: Leica TCS NT and digital printer

Dear confocalists,
we have been using the new Leica TCS confocal microcsope running under
Windows NT for close to a year now.
Unfortunately Leica has not been able to provide us with a video
printer that would work under Win NT 4.0. (Color printer preferred,
B&W okay ).
Is there anyone out there with the same setup that has a nice and
working video printer ? Thanks
Girard Escher, IBCM, University of Lausanne, Switzerland.
