Hi Louis,
We are using a mitotic cyclin promoter with gus and a destruction box to visualize the dividing cells. For sure DNA replication is not a marker for certain cell division. Just look en endoreduplication

Hi everyone,
We are looking for a marker for cell division (mitosis). I have read in litterature that an antibody, BRDU, is used for looking at DNA synthesis and therefore cell division. Does DNA synthesis implies cell division absolutely? Could some cell could be positive if a DNA repair mechanism is in action?
Is there others antibodies or reagents that can be use? Fixed cells (tissues) or in living cells?
Thanks!
Louis
