Dear Anita,

There may be a very simple solution to reduce the time without reducing
the z resolution. However I'm uncertain if it will meet all your
experimental aims. From your email it sounds like you are taking a full
z-series (ie. xyz data set). Would it suit your experimental aims to
collect just a vertical section (xz)? This would be much quicker to
collect and you would end up with just one image per sample, rather than
a z-series. Hence analysis would be a lot quicker.
