Hi folks, perhaps the easiest product for cleaning fibers is from Cletop
http://www.cletop.com/
Works well for all but the truly scratched fibers (then you need to use the
3M product)

Hi,

I am an Applications Specialist with Andor Technology. As such, I am
constantly setting up and taking down our demo unit, which includes a
Yokogawa Spinning Disk Unit. I have had similar problems with the fibers
on the CSU. I concur with Tony, if you can avoid removing the fiber that
is best. Once it is dirty, it is impossible to clean. Like Dr. Shimizu,
I recommend repolishing the fiber. If you are not feeling up to it
yourself there is a Canadian company that will do it for you: OZ optics

I don't know the prices for polishing.

Good Luck,
