International Symposium
"Biological Applications
of
Confocal Microscopy"
6-8 April 1998
Belo Horizonte - MG
Brasil
Organizing Committee:
Luiz A. De Marco
Marcus V. Gomez
Marco A. M. Prado
Marco A. Romano-Silva
Remarks
The increase in popularity of confocal microscopy is due to its
technical versatility. The objetive of the Symposium is to convene
experts that make use of confocal microscopy and related techniques to
address key questions in different fields of biomedical sciences.
Lectures of high scientific level, poster presentations and social
events, allied to a high degree of informality will be the ingredients
to produce a rich and fruitful discussion environment. The official
language will be English.
Belo Horizonte is the capital of the state of Minas Gerais located in
the southeast of Brazil. It is surrounded by mountains and close to
several important historic colonial towns. Among them is Ouro Preto, a
baroque live monument city (see http://www.minasmundo.com.br for more
information).
The Symposium will be hosted by the Universidade Federal de Minas
Gerais, which is one of the most important Brazilian universities.
