Dear Friends
14th Annual Workshop on FRET & FLIM Microscopy-March 9-13, 2015
Visit the web site for registration. There is no fee for registration.

http://www.kcci.virginia.edu/workshop/workshop2015/index.php

Hands-on instruction on 10 different Microscopy systems.

What are the best FRET imaging and data solutions?

Personal attention for a maximum of 25 participants.

12 internationally recognized faculty.

Individual problem solving.

* For attendees to experience an advanced practical course on Förster (fluorescence) resonance energy transfer FRET) and fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) microscopy.

 * It is advantageous attendees should be familiar with the basics of fluorescence microscopy. Brief introductions to the principles of fluorescence, microscopy, fluorophores, FRET and FLIM will be made. Emphasis will be on practical aspects, hands-on individual instruction at the instruments followed by data analysis and interpretation.

 * Problem-solving discussions will address questions of fluorophore choices, the most suitable systems to achieve specific research objectives, qualitative vs. quantitative analysis and much more. Introduction for an unique image processing and analysis software (PFRET) will be given.

 * Live-cell specimens provided; participant's own specimens are welcome.
