Confocal folk:
We are reconstructing the body-wall musculature in lower worms
using BODIPY/Phalloidin and confocal.
So far, we have no trouble importing the MRC-1000 files to NIH Image
and creating both stacks and projections (Thanks, Harvey Karten!),
which are extremely informative, as long as they're animated.
We are now to the point of wanting to make "pretty pictures" of stills for
for seminars. If I want a rendered, shaded reconstruction, do I
have any alternatives other than a SGI and Voxel View
(financially out of the question). I'm aware of VolVis,
but how do I get from the confocal image stack to voxel data? Is there a
standalone program that does the necessary interpolation between image
planes in the stack?
TIA
