ELECTRON MICROSCOPE UNIT
                      SENIOR CONFOCAL MICROSCOPY TECHNICIAN

A Senior Technician is required to manage and participate in research
involving confocal microscopy and associated image analysis. The
Unit's Confocal Imaging Facility consists of a Zeiss Laser Scanning
Confocal Microscope and a 3D Imaging Workstation (Indy)


Qualifications: Preferred a first or higher degree or technical
diploma in the biological or medical sciences, experience in cell
biology, flourescent microscopy and computers with a willingness to
acquire further computer skills. Communication skills essential.

Duties: Supervision of the above equipment, training courses in
instrument operation, consultation, application of analytical
techniques, collaborative research. Limited assistance with electron
microscopy. Training will be provided.
