Search the CONFOCAL archive at

Use ImageJ, awesome free software which runs on any computer that does
Java:

http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/

You'll also need to install the LSM reader plugin:

http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/plugins/lsm-reader.html

Even better, download and install into ImageJ the confocal plugin
collection compiled by Tony Collins. Then you can open almost most
confocal files from most vendors:

Congratulations, you are now free of the crappy Zeiss free .LSM reader!
