I had the same problem some time ago... the only Cl- sensitive probes
I know of are of the SPQ/MQAE type. There have been attempts to
synthesize Cl- probes that can be used in the visible light range
(e.g., with an Kr/Ar laser), but (if I remember correctly) they
seemed to be rather unstable and unsuitable for biological
applications.
