Dear Listmembers,

I recently tried to image (H33342,nuclei stained) brain slices for a
colleague. The slices were 200micron thick but we could only get 'good'
imaging down to about 40 micron. I dont have much experience of this type
of tissue and I wonder if any of you have managed get anywhere near
100micron penetration on either fixed or living brain slices.

Has anyone estimated the refractive index of brain tissue?

Thanks

Craig.
