We have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Imaging & Cytometry
Laboratory within the Bioscience Technology Facility. The post holder
will be involved in all aspects of the laboratory’s work ranging from
supporting our researchers in effectively and efficiently using our
imaging and flow cytometry facilities, through research and service
assistance, to training, troubleshooting and method development

The Imaging & Cytometry Laboratory is one of the six, specialist core
laboratories within the Bioscience Technology Facility and provides
research assistance, facilities and services to researchers from both
the University of York and external organisations (companies, other
universities, Government Institutes etc).

This position represents an excellent opportunity to gain further
experience in the application of cutting edge technology to solve
research questions and be part of the Bioscience Technology Facility, a
leading core research support facilities in the UK. You will have a
degree in Biology, a related discipline or equivalent relevant
experience and have a sound understanding of, and practical experience
in, either microscopy or flow cytometry and associated problem solving.

Salary will be within the range £23,352 to £28,685 per annum (reduced
pro-rated for part-time working). The post is available from the end of
January 2013 on a fixed term basis of up to 9 months initially. While
ideally looking for full time working, we will also consider part time
and job share applicants.
