We have a Sony Mavigraph printer attached to the confocal and, through RGB
switchboxs as well as directly, to other devices. The only device the
printer does not always lock up with is the BioRad.
Sometimes the synch is off when we input an image into the printer; scan
lines get messed up. Pressing the button a few times eventually gets
a picture to lock up. BioRad has told us how to very gently turn a
plastic knob on the board the fix this problem, but when we tried it years
ago, it did not work any better than simply pressing the printer button a
few times until we had a decent image. It's not a big problem, but since
other people mentioned synch, I thought I'd toss in our experiences.
On the other hand, we have not had synch problems outputting to videotape
or OMDR (once we even fed the output to a Scion-LG3 card on a MacIntosh
and it worked).
I guess I should point out this these were all US video output.
