Does anyone out there know how the black level control on the MRC600 actually w
orks. In the auto mode, the control knob still affects the black level of the
image. The question is, when you collect a z series with the black level set t
o auto, does it do an adjustment from scan to scan? IF so, then one must colle
ct with black set to manual or the image planes will not be strictly comparable
in intensity. It is not a problem to collect in manual mode, but I have some
data collected in auto mode and I am not sure whether it this is a mojor proble
m or not. Dave Knecht
