Hi Carl,

If you do it much there is a plugin "Microscope Scale"
http://rsb.info.nih.gov/ij/plugins/microscope-scale.html
that can be edited with the values you get for your system so that you
have them conveniently available. If you work with several systems with
different calibrations that is easy also - check the info on my webpage
on how to set this up - includes a detailed "HOWTO", etc:
Image Calibrations with ImageJ -
http://www.bio.umass.edu/microscopy/resource.htm
http://www.bio.umass.edu/microscopy/Downloads/Calibrations_HOWTO.html

This is entirely a functional adaptation of the Microscope scale plugin
to illustrate how to have multiple calibrations available from different
systems.

Hope this helps.

Dale
