Hi Judy
You could try the Freeware TMPGEnc http://www.tmpgenc.net/e_main.html.
It is a useful utility for transcoding any number of AVI and movie files
into MPEG-2 (DVD) format that most computers can open. Its actually a
very flexible package and can perform whole host of video file
operations.

The current version only allows 30 days trail for MPEG-2 conversions
because of restrictions on the MPEG codec.
