Dear Michael,
We are running the Zeiss LSM 510 software on a Windows XP x64 PC as an
offline analysis workstation, without any problems.
Good luck!
Regards,
Peter

Ämne: Zeiss LSM 510 / Leica LAS - ever tested on WinXP x64 ?

Dear microscopists,
I'm currently planning an workstation for image analysis for our facility.
We would like to start with a single workstation, also because of the
limited amount of money. In order to increase performance for 3D software
and to be able to use 8 GB of RAM, this system will be set up with Windows
XP x64.
Here's my question: Is it possible to install and run offline versions of
Zeiss LSM 510 and Leica LAS on this 64bit XP? The answers from the companies
are the same: "This was never tested".
Please, is there anybody out there who tested this setup?
I know that there's the possibility to run a dual-boot configuration, but
this is, in my opinion, a quite weak solution for multi-user environments.
Thanks in advance,
Michael
