There have been many papers in which Lucifer-stained neurons have been stained
immunocytochemically (althought the staining was generally done using
fluorescence methods). What also has been reported, though, is that DAB
quenches fluorescence. Thus your friend may have had the story backwards--it's
probably not that Lucifer will interfer with DAB. Rather, it's that DAB will
probably interfer with Lucifer.
