If I want to use a 1.45 NA lens for TIRF (excitation through the lens), but
on fixed specimens in which the mounting medium has dried hard, is there a
mounting medium that would work? I assume the question is the same as
asking : does anyone know of a mounting medium that dries hard, but
refractive index stays less than ~1.43 (i.e. low enough for TIRF to occur
with this lens)?
