Hi, Susanne,

we have been using the Leica TCS SP system for about 5 months and we love it. We
purchased two microscopes. An upright and an inverted. This way we easily (in 5
minutes) can switch the scan head from one to the other.

To operate the Leica is a breeze. I learned it in one day, practiced an other
day and that's it for the basic operation. The SP system (the sliders instead
filter wheels) is a great idea. Leica engineered it well. I can recommend it.
The analysis part of the software is a little rudimentary but I just heard they
bundle it with Bitplane software in Europe.

The optics are good, the emitted light registration is good and stable. What
else....? Ask questions. What do you want to know?

The Zeiss is just as good as the Leica (with wheel filters). We only considered
Leica because of the poor service from Zeiss in New England. We do not (yet)
have a two photon laser on the system but it is configured to accept one.

Let me know if I can help more.

Best regards,
