Dear All in the Microscopy Community:

We are recruiting Post-doctoral Research Fellow for our imaging
projects.
Thank you very much!

here is the detailed information:

Title: Research Associate (Postdoctroal Research Fellow)

Posting Snapshot:
The Institute for Quantitative Health Science and Engineering is seeking
a Research Associate in the Qiu and Dantus’ lab.

Position Summary:
The Dantus Lab in the Department of Chemistry and the Qiu Lab in the
Deptartment of Biomedical Engineering at the brand new Institute for
Quantitative Health Science and Engineering (IQ) are seeking a
post-doctoral Research Associate. The position will be conducting
research on nonlinear optics and label-free microscopy system. The
research will be mainly focused on femtosecond fiber laser and pulse
shaping, optical MEMS based multiphoton and second harmonic generation
imaging system development and its clinical applications. IQ is closely
collaborating with the Michigan State University School of Human
Medicine and College of Veterinary Medicine, the National Lab in
Chicago, and the Stanford Cancer Center.

Representative recent publications from the Dantus and Qiu Labs include:
Femtosecond Laser Shaping: From Laboratory to Industry, CRC Press, 2017;
Nature Photonics 10 (8), 534-540, 2016; Gastroenterology. 2014 Mar;
146(3): 615–617; Nature Photonics 5, 103–109, 2011.

Minimum Requirements:
A PhD (or equivalent) in Optics, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering,
Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Apply Physics,
Bio-Instrumentation or a related field is required. Demonstrated
excellence in one or more of the following areas is required: ultrafast
laser, optical MEMS/micro-systems, microscopy techniques.

Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with one or more of the following areas is preferred: fiber
laser, optical imaging systems, optical design and manufacturing, fiber
optics, spectroscopy, image processing, programming in
Labview/C++/Matlab/Python.

Special Instructions:
Please submit a CV; names and contact information of three references;
and a cover letter describing any relevant research experience.
