Hi Juan Luis

Have you tried DRAQ5 from Biostatus, UK. http://www.biostatus.com/product/draq5/spectral_profile/

You will need a red laser (633,638,647), emission in the 675nm for best results. If you don't have a red laser, the 568 line from ArKr will work. Draq5 works very well on Leishmania.

Hope that's help

Marcel

Hello everybody, I'm interested in staining nuclei of trypanosomas with
some substance similar to DAPI but that works in the range of Cy5. This
is because my confocal doesn't have diode 405 or UV laser. If someone
could help me I would be very greatfull.
Best regards.

Juan Luis
