Dear all,

I am pleased to offer the position of a bioimaging specialist at
post-doc level.
The postdoctoral fellow will act as the dedicated scientific liaison for
the Imaging Project within the established collaborative research center
(CRC/SFB 1181) on Resolution in Inflammation.
The position is based at the Optical Imaging Centre Erlangen (OICE) in
Erlangen, the scientist will be responsible for running various imaging
systems and will support the several research efforts of the network
both directly through his/her own experimental work and indirectly via
training the users at OICE. A particular emphasis will be on in-vivo
imaging systems. The postdoctoral scientist will also closely
collaborate with the Max-Planck Institute for the Science of Light and
with the Preclinical Imaging Platform Erlangen (PIPE) at the medical
school. Furthermore there are close connections to two excellence
initiatives "Engineering of Advanced Materials" and "School of Advanced
Optical Technologies". A translational research centre and a new joint
venture between Max-Planxk and the Medical Faculty "The centre for
Physics and Medicine" complement the excellent research environment for
someone interested to be at the forefront of emerging imaging technologies.
The successful candidate will enjoy working in a dynamic international
and interdisciplinary environment with exposure to a wide range of
biological and medical topics. In addition to having a strong scientific
background and excellent experimental skills, he/she will be a highly
driven and dedicated person who thrives when confronted with challenges.
