ANNOUNCEMENT: 

Three days of world renowned speakers and hot topics in light microscopy in
the sunny south! 
Join us for the next Association of Biomolecular Resource Facilities (ABRF)
meeting to be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from March 22-25, 2014.  The
ABRF offers a premier international conference dedicated to advancing core
facilities, instrument quality control metrics and technology development.
The theme for the 2014 meeting is Team Science and Big Data – Cores at the
Frontier, and for the second year in a row we will have a full track for
light microscopy. For more information see http://conf.abrf.org.

Each day of the imaging track will have its own scientific theme with
scientific symposia and panel discussions:
1) Sunday March 23, Intra-vital (multi-photon) imaging
2) Monday March 24, Meso-imaging (light sheet microscopy)
3) Tuesday March 25, Medium/high throughput imaging and the handling of
large data sets

In addition the meeting offers:
•	Digital Image Processing pre-meeting workshop (Saturday March 22,
2014) with internationally-acclaimed imaging educator and scholar, Dr. John
C. Russ (http://www.drjohnruss.com/);
•	Panel discussion on international imaging networks;
•	Light Microscopy Research Group presentation of new confocal
standards and protocols;
•	Workshop on improving success rates in shared instrumentation grant
applications, sponsored by NIH & NSF;
•	Administrative sessions such as career paths, business planning and
core facility reviews;
•	Vendor exhibits and sponsored talks;
•	Extensive networking opportunities.
