Hi all:

Facts On File, Inc. has asked me to serve as the editor for The Encyclopedia of American law and Criminal Justice and I am looking for individuals to write entries for the remaining unassigned essays in this project.

Please feel free to pass this notice around. This is also a great opportunity for you and your students to contribute.

The Encyclopedia of American law and Criminal Justice will be a two volume reference book written primarily for the general public and high school/college audiences. There will be approximately 800 entries, with entry ranging from 500 words or about two typed pages, doubled-spaced, to about 3000 words.

I would need to have your essays back by November 1, 2009.

Contributors writing a total of 3,000 or more assigned words will receive a $50 honorarium, a 30% discount on all copies of The Encyclopedia of American law and Criminal Justice they purchase, and acknowledgment in the encyclopedia. If you write less than 3,000 assigned words, there is the discounted purchase and the acknowledgment. No one is going to get rich here (including me!!) but this is a great opportunity to pick up a few quick articles.

All entries must be delivered to me in a PC compatible format and your rights to your submission must be signed over to Facts On File, Inc.

If you are interested please contact me. I will send a list of the remaining terms and a style sheet.
I am not doing a formal contract but will work from the e-mails to reach agreement on what essays are assigned to whom.

I will do my best to get back to you quickly.
Thank you!!!!
