Hi Larry:
Good to hear from you, how's life in San FRancisco?
Many thanks for the ref.. I'm putting up a paper (with deadline tomorrow) in which I think we are the first ones to look at meiosis INSIDE THE MEIOTIC ORGAN (in this case plant anthers). So far it's only DAPI (which works wonderfully under 2P), but I think we proved the point that 2P has the potential to go that deep.

And how's your exploration of the no-linear photonic world? I've done some GFP (so far only wt, in roots, pollen tubes and yeast) and although we could surely image it, the fading rate is worst than with 1P, therefore so far I'm a bit disapointed. Also I tried chameleon for calcim , and again could not come with anything. How are you doing into that direction?

Thanks for your ref. You may remember that I e.mailed you when it came out, and you were kind enough to send me a reprint. Actually I had student doing a journal club with it.

Cheers
Jose
