Postdoctoral Research Associate

The Neurophysiological Department of the Brain Research Institute,
University of Zurich, is seeking an experienced neurophysiologist to study
mechanisms involved in synaptogenesis and the maintenance of dendritic
spines in hippocampal slice cultures (McKinney et al., Nature Neuroscience
2, 44, 1999). Techniques used in this project include immunohistohemistry,
dye tracing, calcium imaging, multiphoton microscopy and patch clamp
recording. The candidate should be proficient at patch clamp recording and
if possible have experience with calcium imaging techniques.
Starting October 2000 or at earliest convenience.
