Hi fellow confocalists,

In reply to Bhuwan, I have produced a 180 page detailed manual on confocal microscopy for beginners courses I have run in Melbourne. The manual is intended for people with little prior knowledge of confocal microscopy - and covers a variety of relevant topics such as fluorescence, fluorescent probes, digital images, where to get supplies and information and an extensive glossary. The manual can also be used as a resource (with index) for more experienced people. I have a number of extra copies that are for sale (see attached PDF file).

Hope you may find the manual helpful, Alan.

Subject: basic book on confocal microscopy

Hi

I am a graduate student in chemical engineering at the
Unviersity of Toronto. My project is on "Study of
diffusion of substrate across a microbial floc
obtained in activated sludge unit".

I shall be using confocal microscope. I am trying to
learn its operation all by myself and through the
manual. However, it will be better if I can take help
from a book which is meant for a beginners like me.

If anyone of you can suggest me any such book or a
web-site where they give oline lessons, I shall be
very grateful.

Bhuwan
