Hi,
We also had a noran confocal. It seemed that we are not
have any service call. We are working on fixing it on our own.
My graduation depends on this machine and I want to graduate ASAP!
I don't know what's your problem is.
I have few tricks that helps some simple aligning. The most common
misalignment is the last two mirrors which help the confocal head
couple into the microscope.
To tune these last two mirrors, you set up the Koller illumination first.
Then you tune the beam to center in the middle of field diaphram and
the back focal plane. I am still trying to figure out more tricks
to align the whole thing.
I think one useful thing is to find out all the noran users and
then write a letter to the company for releasing a manual.
Or everyone can try to contribute some problems they have and
how they solve them. Then we can have a Q&A session.
I am willing to organize things like this if noran users can send me an
email and I can compile a mailing list.
Any suggestions or feedback?
