Greetings,
I have a user who is immunolabeling bacterial inclusions with a fluorescein
conjugate. We would like to find a counterstain which would allow us to
put the inclusions in context (currently we can get a transmitted light/DIC
image for overlay, but it is not confocal, and we would like to
re-construct a 3D image from an image stack).
Does anyone have suggestions for a good general purpose
counterstain for GM- bacterial cell perimeters which emits in either the
blue or red parts of the spectrum? A stain which specifically labels the
cell wall or membrane would be preferred to a nucleic acid stain. Thanks.
