I was curious if there was any interest in moving this listserv over to the
Yahoo Groups system.

I've been using these extensively for my personal groups of this sort, and
it's worked out really well. The fact that it keeps a searchable archive is
very helpful. Additionally, it has "files" and "photos" sections, so that
people can submit documents for others to examine.

Other advantages of this system include the ability for users to opt to get
emails like this listserv, or not - choosing instead to "read on demand" by
just going to a website. This is nice when traveling, so that listserv
messages don't fill up one's mailbox.

For those worried about spam, I've seen people register with invalid mail
addresses to avoid automated email snachers, so I don't think that's
necessarily a big problem either.

I'm sure many of you are already familiar with this service, but for those
who may want to check it out, go to:
http://groups.yahoo.com/

Cheers,
Ted
