GREEN LEAF COLOR RETENTION

We need to do several year storage of herbaceous plant leafy specimens in a
water clear solution.
It is important to retain color of the specimens and to retain the water
clarity of the solution.

What solutions do you suggest...100% alcohol??  glycerine?? vegetable oil??
