Olaf,
For a CCD addition on another image capture device, by chance we found that
when we changed a network card on our computer, the horizontal lines
appeared similarly as you describe.  Removal of the card immediately cleared
the problem.  Apparently, some electronic interference on the CPU bus caused
this problem which was not immediately visible on the screen, but became
more visible when processing for details on the image. Consider all hardware
changes to your system while troubleshooting.
