Dear Listservers,

We are looking for someone to fill a full-time position in the NHLBI
light microscopy core facility in Building 10 on the main NIH campus in
Bethesda, Maryland. This facility serves the diverse needs of the NHLBI
Intramural research community. Instruments in this facility include several
point scanning confocal microscopes, a two-photon microscope (with FLIM
capabilities), and a multi-use microscope with a spinning disc confocal
scanhead and a TIRF system. The successful candidate must have a Master's
degree (Ph.D. preferred) in biophysics or biology with experience in
confocal microscopy and digital image processing. Excellent communication
skills, and a desire to provide support to facility users with multiple
research interests and diverse backgrounds as well as previous management
experience will be preferred. Experience in two-photon microscopy,
deconvolution microscopy, or spectral imaging would also be a plus. Duties
will include training new users in microscopy techniques and maintaining the
various microscope systems in the core facility. In addition the sucessful
candidate will be expected to help with day to day operation of the core
facility including record keeping and updating the cores webpage.
Collaborative research with core users is a possibility. This position
includes benefits and the salary is commensurate with experience.
Please contact Dr. Christian Combs off the list at ([log in to unmask])
with a letter of interest, resume, and references.

Best regards,
Chris Combs
