Bitplane has developed a dedicated software package to detect,
visualize, and measure dendritic trees in confocal images.

You'll find images and other information on the following site:

You are more than welcome to download ImarisDemo and evaluate the
software. Just go to our home page and click on "Free ImarisDemo".
Besides the software you'll find the 3D image of a Lucifer yellow
injected neuron.

Is there someone with experience on analysing confocal images of the
dendritic tree of neurons with image j and plugins like neuro
morpho?
