Why not use a glass bottom multi-well plate. A 96 well plate requires
as little as 50-60 ul to cover the bottom. Since you are looking from
the bottom a meniscus is not a problem.

Subject: Cover glass bottom culture chambers (small volume wells)
Search the CONFOCAL archive at

Hi all,
I am looking for cover glass #1.5 or #1 bottom culture chambers which
allow growth of cells in small volumes (< 200 microliters ) of culture
medium and scanning on an inverted microscope.
I already know ( and use) the LabTek 8-well cover glass bottom chambers,
but any multiwell chamber with more / smaller wells would be
advantageous for the following reasons:
- application of precious agents in smaller volumes
- rapid scanning / irradiation of all cells in a well (using a low
magnification objective)
- multiple samples side by side
